Pom Poko

Hail our Irradiated Japanese Gods. When a movie costs children’s souls you know it’s a good time. Marking the end of Ghibli’s Golden Era (I would argue), Tanuki take the stage in an attempt to explain to kids what the human parasite is.

If only they dedicated some time to mokuton they could handle deforestation themselves

Now I don’t want to give too much away, but Pom Poko is the struggle of racoons in modern Japan. Back in the day the Tanuki were feared and respected for their magic and mighty testicles, but modern man is no longer impressed by the spirits or their weighty genitals. The Japanese intend this to be a family movie. You must know this.

IMDB Score 10/10, 0.9 Honoha, and I promise a good time.

And to answer, subs FTW
